Today is Mr. Newman’s birthday.
We didn’t have much planned for today except that he wanted me to make him a birthday breakfast. Which I did.
That’s what he wanted, hash browns, bacon and eggs.
That’s all he wanted…no dessert. He crazy.
I had to make him a dessert, it’s just not a birthday without some type of dessert. I think last year I made Mt. Dew cupcakes for him, but that was for Father’s Day.
I wasn’t going to let that slide though. I wanted to make him a dessert of some sort.
I was really excited to make this cake because its made of one of my favorite cakes ever!
Who doesn’t love angel food? It’s delicious and so fluffy I’m gonna die!

Since it was Mr. Newman’s birthday today he gets presents right?

I sure hope I get something as cool for my birthday!
1 angel food cake (broken into 1″ bits)
8 oz Cool Whip
1 c. sour cream
1 c. powdered sugar
1 pint raspberries
In a medium bowl, mix together the Cool Whip, sour cream and powdered sugar. Fold in raspberries. Place all the angel food bits in the bottom of a 9″ x 13″ baking dish. Pour the raspberry mixture over the cake. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate one hour.
