Pizza Bars

I have been seriously absent with my blog, I am so sorry people.

For those that are regulars to my site, you may have noticed that Manic Monday hasn’t been showing up for a couple weeks. I am going to be taking a break from that for the reason that I just couldn’t keep up with it anymore. I wasn’t putting my heart into it like I was when I started.

No worries though, I still will have some great stuff for you guys.

Like today’s post!

I have like a few recipe books floating around my house that I don’t really use because, well, I get recipes and food stuffs off the internet. Sad I know. But one day I was browsing through one of the church fundraising recipe books that I own and found this fun recipe called Pizza Bars.

It was pretty simple to make.

Toss together some butta, flour, oatmeal, baking soda and salt to make like a crumble you’d put on apple crisp.

Toss that into a baking dish and bake for a tish bit. Then you’ll get something this…

Melt some caramels and spread that on top.

Cover with candy. That’s essential to any kind of bar in my book.

Drizzle some almond bark on top and voila. Goodness in your mouth.

I brought these to church last week and my bestie’s daughter begged for one that night, mom and dad let her have it.  On the following Saturday I saw her and she asked for more of my “ooey gooey bars”. She’s  adorable. They must have been good. 🙂 Unfortunately I didn’t have them with me when I saw her.
